T&RS Engineering is pleased to announce two key leadership changes as part of our continued focus on customer service, commercial alignment and long-term strategic growth.

We are proud to confirm that Luke Sykes has been promoted to Director of Commercial Strategy. Luke has played a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex projects and has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, technical expertise and a commitment to client success. His promotion builds on his achievements as Project Engineering Manager at T&RS Engineering, as well as experience gained in various roles across the rail industry. In this new position, Luke will take a broader strategic view across the business, aligning technical delivery with commercial priorities and long-term customer needs.

We are also pleased to welcome Ben Taylor to the business as Head of Business Development, supporting Luke in driving new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships and helping position T&RS Engineering as a leading provider of practical, results-focused engineering support across the UK rail industry. Ben brings with him over a decade of commercial experience across the rail, technology and engineering sectors.

These changes reflect a clear direction of travel for T&RS Engineering as we continue to grow. By bringing business development, engineering and strategic planning into a more connected leadership structure, we are strengthening our ability to:

  • Respond faster and more effectively to client requirements
  • Develop and enhance services for our client base
  • Improve communication across project teams and senior leadership
  • Deliver long-term value through joined-up commercial and technical thinking

Managing Director Richard Poulton commented:

“Both Ben and Luke bring a huge amount of experience and energy to their roles. This structure allows us to operate with more clarity and purpose, giving our customers even greater confidence in the consistency and quality of the service we provide. It’s a very positive step for the business, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.”

T&RS Engineering remains committed to delivering flexible, high-quality engineering support that meets the evolving needs of the UK rail sector. These leadership changes represent the next step in strengthening our ability to do exactly that.
